Director of Planning, Development,
and Contract Management

We all Really Matter (WARM) is the leading grassroots, minority-led CBO 501 ( c ) 3 provider of comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence in greater Harlem and the South Bronx. WARM’s mission is to prevent and interrupt the cycle of abuse for women and
communities of color.

 

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, with wide latitude for independent judgment, the Director of Planning, Development, and Contract Management will serve as a member of the Executive Management Team. The Director will be the principal creator of and eventual liaison to the Development Committee of the Board of Directors and key organization members,

Key Responsibilities

● Drive revenue generating activities to meet the budget of existing, expanded, and new
programs


● Identify and secure funds from three levels of government and foundations/corporations


● Develop proposals for current programs and new funding opportunities


● Supervise staff as WARM hires development consultants and assistants


● Develop and implement major donor campaign; work with board, executive staff, and consultants to identify, increase, and manage a portfolio of donors; maintain ongoing relationships with major donors


● Oversee organization of special events, with the goal of increasing net revenue


● Manage the implementation of Raiser’s Edge and oversee staff responsible for data entry
and gift processing


● Maintain and monitor monthly chart of proposals and reports due and ensure products are of the best quality and submitted on time


● Generate donor communications, newsletters, and annual fundraising reports


● Assist in creation of print, digital, and social media content in support of fundraising

Qualifications

● Passion for and identification with agency mission


● BA (MA or equivalent preferred) and seven plus years’ experience as a professional fundraiser for sizable non-profit organizations, including five years in a leadership role


● Demonstrated success scaling funding for a non-profit organization


● Proven record of attracting and securing significant grants form government, corporations and foundations


● Demonstrated ability to raise funds through major donors and special events


● Strong financial management skills, including budgeting


● Experience with database systems and procedures of donor tracking and reporting


● Microsoft Office and spreadsheet proficiency


● Experience with online fundraising, email marketing, and internet research


● High energy, proactive, results-oriented; able to set and surpass goals; ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders; comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and responsibly; exceptional ability to work with teams; well-organized with close attention to detail and follow-through; strong executive presence; strategic, creative, progressive thinker; strong interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills

Full-time Position, Monday - Friday

$110,000 - $125,000
